We had a pretty quiet Thanksgiving this year between the craziness around my oral surgery and Bobby's sister's family not making it home, but we still had a nice time. We started out the morning watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. That brought back a ton of memories of watching it when I was a kid. It was so nice to share that with Thomas this year. He never watches TV, but he was mesmorized by everything going on. After that we went to my Mom's to have Thanksgiving lunch there. We had quite a feast, and Thomas loved their Christmas Tree. After lunch, we came back to our house for naps and to put up our Christmas tree up. Here are so pics from our day... I am so thankful for everything and everyone in my life!

Playing at the park...
Thomas loves going to the park! We had been stuck in the house for a few days because of my oral surgery, so Dada and I took Thomas to the park. I couldn't do much besides hold the camera, but Thomas still had fun! There is also a short video at the bottom... Dada and I love this little guy!
Us Bouncing at Leapin' Lizards!
This is a short video of us bouncing at Leapin' Lizards. Thomas loved it... and so did I! The video is a little fuzzy because I was bouncing too!

Play, play, play!
Bobby had to work late one day this week, so Thomas and I had a full day of play! We went to Leapin' Lizards and tired Thomas completely out for a 3 hour nap. Then, when he woke up, we went to our play group at the Gymboree Gym. He slept soooo great that night! Here are some pics from our day of play!!!

Thomas and Josh playing...
Thomas just adores his furry big brother, Josh. I can say A LOT of bad things about Josh, but one good thing that I can say is that he is so patient and tolerant of Thomas. Just recently, Josh has started playing with Thomas and it is so cute. They have played tug-of-war with a few things in the house, and now outside they play keep-away with Thomas' wagon. Josh has taken a great liking to Thomas' wagon... which just happens to be Thomas' favorite outside toy as well. So click on the videos below and take a gander at my 80 pound 2-year old furry boy and his 32 pound 18 month old "person"....

A new way to eat Cheerios...
Our creative little boy loves to find new ways to do simple things! He loves to use utensils to eat instead of eating with his hands... even if it isn't your usual utensils. The other day at home he was stabbing is cucumber slices with a straw! It worked and he thought it was funny that there were several round pieces that got stuck in the straw from where he stabbed it. This particular dinner was another example of how creative he is... he decided to eat his appetizer of cheerios with a chopstick! It also worked, and he ate every cheerio this way...!

Playing Catch-Up...
This has been one crazy week and a half or so! Thomas and I were both sick last week, and this week my grandma's sitter was sick, so I stayed over there during the day and helped her out. So, this is a catch-up post! Thomas is so much fun and he started saying a few more words this week that we can understand. He now says Bye-Bye, Shoes, and Bus! (Dana, you told me that words were going to start flowing out of him soon!) We even got a version of Papa out of him one time! We had to make another trip to Stride Rite last week and he is now in a 7 1/2 xw... he's got his Dada's feet!

Playing with Legos...
I have been pleading with Thomas to play Legos with me for months and months now, but he has never been interested... until NOW that is! I am so excited! One evening this week Thomas just comes over to me with a handful of Legos and we start building. He stayed with me so long that we ended up getting out the TWO CONTAINERS of Legos that we have. So, all week we have been playing Legos from time to time. I was so excited that I kept shooting videos and my intention was to put one of the videos on here. I took four videos and they were all so darn cute that I couldn't narrow it down to three- much less one! This also highlights his newest word, "bye-bye", and how he rolls his lips in when he says it. So, here are all four of them....

Talking to Dada...
This is just one of the cutest things I have ever seen. I mentioned earlier that Thomas talks all the time, but I never get it on video. As soon as he sees the camera following him he stops what he is doing. He woke up this morning while Bobby was getting ready for work and I finally got one of his conversations on video... when you have a couple minutes, cut your sound up high and listen to my boy!
Random Pictures from Early Fall
Other than the fact that I wish it would stay summer forever, we had a really great October. These are just some random pics from another great month with Thomas. My boy turned 18 months old this month... I can hardly believe it! We went for his 18 month appointment and he weighed 32.6 pounds (98th percentile), height was 34.6 inches (90th percentile)! What a big boy he is, huh? The joy that he has brought to our family is immeasurable! He is talking ALL. THE. TIME. now. We can only understand a few words, but he talks non-stop. It is so cute, and he definitely knows what he is saying. Often I will ask him what he said and he will repeat the same jibberish over again. We can understand Dada (he says that a million times a day), Mama (only if he needs something and he says it in a really pitiful voice), Josh (Jisss), Truck (uck), Outside (he just recently changed that one from "ou-si" to "side-side"), and Bye-Bye. He is a trip!
I love this picture- they are watching Bobby blow off the driveway!

My Crazy Monkey...
For Thomas' second Halloween, he dressed up like a Monkey- and man oh man was he the cutest! I call him my crazy monkey, so his costume was an easy decision. I promised Bobby this would be the last year I would dress him like a baby, but I just couldn't resist! We went to the Fall Festival at my parent's church in Lexington, and we had a great time.
Weekend with Dada and Meme..
My mom, aunt, and I went to Myrtle Beach for the weekend to shop and see a show at Alabama Theatre. Bobby and his Mom had Thomas and they all had a blast. Thomas didn't even act all that excited to have me back... ha ha! One of the days that I was gone, Bobby and his Mom took Thomas to the mountains to see the fall leaves and get some local apples. Here are some pictures from their big day...
