Thomas was able to go to the Easter Egg Hunt at my parent's church the day before Easter. He got a cute "Cars" Easter Egg Basket from Nanny and had a blast at the hunt. He got so many eggs that I had to fill up his diaper bag as well. We had to keep reminding him to pick them up and put them in his basket... he was just as interested as watching the other kids or try and open up the eggs and check out his loot! Here are some pictures from our day and a couple videos at the end!

Riverbanks Zoo...
We go to the zoo quite frequently, but usually it's just me and Thomas and I can't take pictures! This time Dada went along with us so I was able to bring out the camera. Thomas absolutely loves the zoo, and I love taking him out in this beautiful weather!

Do you see the bright green eel above his hand? Very Cool!
A trip to the Finley Park...
Choo- Choo....
Thomas got a late Christmas present, and it was this train table! We wanted to wait until we sold our house and got settled in a new one, and here it is. It took Bobby and I about 4 hours one night/early morning to put it together, and it has been worth every minute. Thomas really enjoys it! Isn't it cool?
Bubbles with Meme...
On Meme's last visit, she brought Thomas some bubbles for them to play with. Thomas loves, loves bubbles and has thoroughly enjoyed his new bubble wand. I promise we don't beat him with it, but for some reason he flinches everytime we wave it! Thanks, Meme, for bringing Thomas some new bubbles and playing with him outside!

Christmas Videos...
I just came across a few videos from Christmas that I wanted to share:
This one is from the singing bears that appear every year at Richland Fashion Mall. After we went to Thomas' Gymboree Gym class at the mall, he would head straight for the escalator to go down to the singing bears. I can't even calculate how much time we spent there. It is really cute and I definitely recommend you go take a look around Christmas time!

This next video is Thomas' first glimpse of his new elephant that he picked out at the mall. He is so good about showing us when he is excited about something!
And this last video shows Thomas unloading his Christmas stocking!

Eating like a big boy...
I can't even believe what a big boy Thomas is now. There is nothing baby-ish about him unless he is sleeping and then he is that teeny, tiny baby I brought home from the hospital 23 months ago. Every day with him just keeps getting better and better. I always think, "Oh- this is the best stage... No, this is the best stage... No, this one is the best stage!" It really just keeps getting better! Anyway- I went off on a bunny trail! The reason for this post is that my big boy is now eating like a big boy!!!! Yay!!! This is him eating chili and yogurt like a big boy. He made a huge mess, but he ate all by himself and man oh man was he proud! My mom taught him to not waste anything in his plate by putting the bowl up to his mouth and turning it up to get all the juices. These pictures were taken right before he did that with his chili bowl and made an even bigger mess. He had chili in his hair, above his eyebrows, and in this big circular shape across his cheeks!!! Thanks, Nanny!
Waking up...
My boy completely takes after his mommy as far as not being a morning person. I fix him and myself some breakfast and we usually don't speak until between 9:30 or 10! So that I don't sound like a horrible, neglectful mommy, I will tell you that he usually doesn't wake up until 8:30 or later, so it really isn't that long! This is a morning picture of my sleepy head that I couldn't resist!
Moving Day...
We moved out of our home of 4 years in Forest Acres on January 31st, 2009. Although we were really excited to be closer to my parents and our friends, it was a really difficult weekend. We were very organized for the move and had already moved a lot of the smaller items and boxes ourselves. We had the most incredible neighbors as well as a beautiful home and neighborhood in Forest Acres. That was the home that we brought Thomas home from the hospital too and made a ton of memories at. Our neighbors were so wonderful to us and love Thomas so much. Even though we didn't spend a lot of time with them, it was always so comforting to know that they were there. About a month before we moved, I hit a concrete block with my car way after dark about a mile from our house. The transmission was ruined and I couldn't get my car home. Thomas and I were alone in the car, I couldn't get in touch with Bobby, so I called one of our neighbors. They came to get us right away and let us wait in there car while I waited for and spoke with the police and the tow truck. It was way after Thomas' bedtime, but they kept him occupied and happy in their car so that I could get those things done. The Howle's were such a source of encouragement for us and we miss them and the rest of our neighbors immensely. Thank you all so much for being such great neighbors- we couldn't have asked for more! Moving day was incredibly emotional for me, but we are definitely enjoying being closer to family and friends!
Snow Day
Believe it or not, we got SNOW! I know, it is unheard of here in Columbia, SC, but it happened!!! Unfortunately we didn't have very much to stick in Forest Acres. So, the only snow that Thomas was able to play with was the little bit that gathered on our picnic table! A lot of our friends in Lexington had a lot of snow stick in their yard, but not us! So, this is Thomas' first documented snow day!

Playtime at Gymboree...
I have Thomas enrolled at the Gymboree play gym at Richland Fashion Mall, and boy does he love it. It is non-stop activity for an hour and it tires him out so much! It also gave us a place to play inside and avoid the chilly weather!
Getting kisses from Gymbo!
