Give Thanks for Grandmas!

Shouldn't that be up there in the 10 commandments or something? My lovely mom (Nanny to Thomas) took Thomas to Stride Rite last weekend and bought him a couple pairs of shoes. The guy that helped us joked that the grandmas are the ones that keep them in business, and after almost fainting at the price of these itty bitty shoes that they said would last them around 3 months, I can see why. Nothing against Stride Rite, but come on people... $52.00 for a pair of sneakers? Being the good salesman that he was, he talked my mom into getting him 2 pairs and a bunch of socks. I am still not over the sticker shock, but as my friends know, I am very cheap! The thing was that I was buying him all these cute shoes from Kohls, Target, etc, but it took me forever to wriggle them on his feet if I could get them on at all. So, I found out why when we went to Stride Rite.... my petite (ha ha) little 15 month old wears a 6 1/2 EXTRA wide! Lovely, right? So it looks like we are going to be frequenting Stride Rite every 3 months.....!

So, many thanks to my mom for Thomas' shoes.... without you, Thomas would be barefoot right now! (Not really... no one call DSS on me just yet!)
