Sad Day...

Today we said our final goodbyes to our friend, Lin. She has been in a brave battle with cancer since this past spring and had just had her last chemo treatment and had been doing somewhat better when she suddenly passed away last Thursday night. Bobby got the call from Lin’s sister in the middle of the night Thursday night/Friday morning while he was in Chicago. Bobby has known Lin for years as she was the Nursing Director for the company that Bobby works for and they were very close. I met her when Bobby and I got married, and we were quick friends. She thought the world of Bobby and he has been feverishly and unselfishly helping her out with her Medical and Legal issues that come with getting a diagnosis of cancer. There was a nice turnout for the services today, and it was a really sweet service. I had to take Bobby straight from the services back to the airport, so it has been a really long and hard day for him. Lin had also been a part of Thomas’ life and was just as crazy about him as she was about Bobby. It is impossible to know that she has left us, but we consider it a privilege to call Lin a friend.

I am so sorry for your loss. Those words seems kind of bland, but you all are in our prayers.
